Todays App of the day is Nearpod. We all saw this in action at a recent staff meeting. Yes it was slow because we had a LOT of people downloading the presentation, it has not been a problem in my class.
Todays App of the day is Nearpod. We all saw this in action at a recent staff meeting. Yes it was slow because we had a LOT of people downloading the presentation, it has not been a problem in my class.
Nearpod allows you to turn your powerpoints or PDFs into interactive presentations that students can view on their iPad (or any other internet-capable device). YOU control the pace of the presentation. You can also give your presentations out as homework so students can complete the same activities at home and you can see all their answers.
The great thing about it is being able to include all these extras within the presentation:
After the students are done, you can see every students work, and even display good answers (or bad!) on each students device.
There is a new version of the App out that improves the "Draw it" function that I use a lot.
