Teach Tech Play #25

Teach Tech Play Episode 25

Teach Tech Play is a monthly webshow that features great presenters showing off great ideas in EdTech in 3 minute snapshots.

Some ideas and links from Episode 25...

1.   Google CS First https://www.cs-first.com/

Teach students to code and program, for free, with Google's foray into coding instruction. You can start clubs (as many as you want) and help students step through instruction. Clubs are available in a variety of themes, such as music, art, and game design, that are designed to capture a student's existing interests.

The most dangerous app in the world??! An app for Mac & iPad that forces writers into writing without stopping. If you stop, after a few seconds all your work is gone! Love unique ideas!

An online service that reminds me of ClassDojo where teachers award students award points. It can also be linked to House points.

4.   Twitter in History

A unit on Aztec's and Inca's - students signed up for a Twitter account as one of the characters they were studying then tweeted and responded to others as that character. Nice!
