Microsoft Snip

If you have used Snipping tool, you will know it is not the most user-friendly program around. Microsoft have recently released Snip – the better looking sibling to Snipping tool.

Here is the video that goes through the details.

In brief, Snip sits off screen until you need it by hovering over the part of the screen you want in on and gives you three options – screenshot, whiteboard and camera.

You can annotate on the screenshot or even record a voice-over. You can also record a quick video or use the camera to grab a shot.

The sharing options are simple – it automatically puts your screenshot on the clipboard so you can then paste it into an email or Word document, plus you can generate a link to your recording. It even allows you to send a snip directly to OneNote.
