Seqta Turnitin integration

Turnitin is a service that allows teachers to check the originality of student work plus give rich feedback in their "Feedback Studio".

This post is just about the integration between Seqta and Turnitin.

To create a Turnitin assessment:

  1. Go to the "Overview of assessments"
  2. Create a new assessment and select "Allow Turnitin assessment". Notice that when you add the assessable criteria you will get a radio button showing that Turnitin is active for that column in the marks book
  3. Click "Save & Setup" which takes you to Turnitin where you can edit settings about the assignment if needed
Students will be able to see the assessment in upcoming assessments with the Turnitin icon.

Selecting this takes them directly to Turnitin where they can submit their assessment.

When the teacher goes to the marks book there is a Turnitin icon above the column, which takes you directly to the list of student assessments where you can see each student's work, view the originality report, leave feedback and enter a mark - which automatically goes into the marks book in Seqta

The benefit of this is there is no need to go to Turnitin or remember your login there, the whole workflow is seamless and works beautifully.
