Microsoft Educator Community

The word community is a great one in education - it signifies a group willing to share and a safe place to go and explore. The Microsoft Educator community is definitely worth being a part of if you are at a school that is invested in Microsoft technologies.

On the left menu you can browse through resources and courses that cover a wide range of subjects - including the latest tools and ideas for using these, courses on Office365, Windows 10, Pedagogy and 21st Century learning design with technology, Apps and Surface, STEM and Minecraft, Skype in the classroom, plus specific learning paths for teachers getting started like "Teaching with Technology", "Microsoft in the Classroom", "OneNote Teacher Academy" and more!





When you sign up and do a course you collect "badges" and points


With 1000 points (each course has different point values) you qualify to be a Certified Microsoft Educator - a great thing for your CV!

Getting going with the community is a great way to be proactive about your learning about the role technology can play in the classroom. You can either wait for you school to deliver it to you - or you can go get it and personalise the learning for you!



 Joining the community is easy, go to https://education.microsoft.com/  and select "Sign up"

There are a number of ways to sign in - if you are at a school with O365 -use the top link. You can also sign in with a personal Microsoft account, Skype, Facebook or Twitter.

Select "Accept"

 Fill in some information - and you are ready to go!
