Vivi Feedback tool

Educators familiar with the work of John Hattie will know that one of the top "effects" on learning is feedback.
The most powerful single modification that enhances achievement is feedback - John Hattie
Whilst there has been questions around the validity of the conclusions Hattie draws, there is no doubt that quality feedback from a teacher that is timely, gives a student information on how to improve their work and gives a sense of direction on what's next is helpful. Hattie also says that:
Feedback is most powerful when it is from the student to the teacher
Using the new Vivi tool you can generate some great opportunities for formative assessment.

When you open Vivi and connect to the room choose "Feedback"

There are two types of feedback you can get:

Assessment:

Wellbeing:

In each case you have a few options, including having a time limit.

When you start feedback the students in the room will get a pop up on their Vivi screen.

You can then see results appear in real time - these do not appear on your display until you select "Resume Presenting"

Additionally, these results are all stored so potentially you could use this to take a school-wide poll at the start of the day, for example.

Lots of potential here if you use Vivi to get some formative assessment and student feedback going that can inform and help adjust your teaching.
