Microsoft Teams Private channels

Microsoft Teams allows users to create channels so you can split up conversations and files into different topics or projects.


Until now, every member of the Team could see every channel in the Team, now with the private channel option you can choose who can see which channel in the Team. A hugely useful feature!

Here is how:

One of the many uses for Teams we have been exploring is in recruitment. A Team with all those doing interviews includes channels for each position advertised and the files in the Team include CVs and other documents relating to that role. As each position has a different group of people assigned to do the interviews, having private channels allows confidentiality to be maintained.
