Power Automate

Microsoft Power Automate (formerly called Flow) is a very powerful tool that allows you to add and customise workflows to common tasks.

There are a ton of templates available when you first login to https://make.powerautomate.com

Searching these templates reveals a myriad of things you can do, that involves not only Microsoft tools but also third-party tools (eg on completion of a Form send an email in Gmail). You can also set up approval workflows based on Form submissions - the example we use is a request for apps to be added to our school iPads. The details of the Form request are sent to 4 people, each can then approve/decline in the Teams approval app. If all approve, an email is sent to the IT Team to action the request, with an email to the requester.

In this example, I show how easy it is to create a very common request - each time a Form is completed, send the response details to a number of people:

Although this looks a little daunting, it is actually fairly simple! Give it a go - there is some efficiencies and time to be gained!
