OneNote is a great tool for inserting all kinds of media on a page which is then available to students. The most common kind of file is a document - PDF or Word - that we can either attach as a file or printout.
From the INSERT menu you can choose to insert a document as a file or printout.
FILE - the document appears as small icon, the students can open the file in Word (or Acrobat reader) but saving back changes to OneNote is sometimes a problem
PRINTOUT - the file appears as it does in Word or PDF on the page so students can see and edit the page directly in OneNote
COPY/PASTE - another option is to copy and paste the contents of the document into OneNote so students can actually edit the text.
